The Bob and Katy Russell Memorial CONNY Youth Lacrosse Fund
Bob and Katy Russell were famous for saying, “Have fun, play lacrosse!” To continue the spirit of their commitment to spreading the joy of lacrosse to young athletes, the Russell Memorial Fund will provide CONNY Lacrosse League towns an opportunity for additional continuing financial support.
About Bob and Katy Russell
Katy Russell, who passed away in 2016, served a number of years as president of Madison Youth Lacrosse.
Bob Russell has been a mainstay in Connecticut lacrosse since the early 1980s. From participating in the founding of CONNY in 1990, to coaching, chairing various subcommittees, acting as CONNY President , and recently holding the office of President Emeritus, Bob consistently gave so much of himself to make CONNY what it is today.
About CONNY Lacrosse
The Connecticut New York Lacrosse Association was founded in March 1990 as a town-based youth lacrosse program. Over the past 30 years, CONNY has been in the forefront of lacrosse activities in the US. CONNY is the 2nd largest youth member organization in US Lacrosse, serving over 50 plus towns and over 10,000 youth players in Connecticut and in Westchester County, New York.
